There are no further words to explain the love a mother has for her children; especially if they are in the the mililtary and in a war zone. I wrote the following post: How Can I Stand Here With You- And Not Be Moved By You? back in May of 2007 in memory of the heartwrenching, pull on mom's heartstrings during these times with my son who was in the US Navy. The day the war broke out on March 19th, it was my son's birthday and he was on the USS Kitty Hawk ...and in the Persian Guld.
...................You're "Everything". This is a true story about the relationship I have with my son, Michael, and his homecoming from serving in the United States Navy. How Can I Stand Here With You- And Not Be Moved By You?
For all those who have served our country I commend you and appreciate all you do. My heart to those who had someone they love....die for their country, for you and for me.
I remember too. He sent me this song through email on Mother's Day of 2006.

Sally, read all of your post, followed it back and listened to the song, what a lovely post, though heartwrenching. Congratulations on having your son back. You are truly blessed. Happy Memorial Weekend, are sure you are celebrating!
Sally - "There are no further words to explain the love a mother has for her children; especially if they are in the the mililtary and in a war zone".
My son has been deployed four times and each time sent right in the heart of a combat zone in Afghanistan and Iraq. The emotional roller coaster of those times were the most heartwrenching that I have ever been through.
A special thanks to you and my undying gratitude to your son for his service. Their is no greater thing we can do this weekend than to honor and appreciate the wonderful men and women who have served our country.
Sally, You get a salute for raising a fine son. He gets an even bigger one for his service to our country. We all thank him - and you for the worries you undoubtedly had!
Sally, you are right that we owe so much to our veterans and of course our fallen military. Thank your son for his service from us.
Great tribute to you boy Sally! God Bess America!
I want to genuinely thank your son. Enough written.
Sally, Our flag is flying proudly on the front of our home today and we remember and pray for all those who have served and continue to serve this great country of ours. God bless your son and God bless America!
Sally, you have every right to be proud of your son. I served on the USS Ranger (CVA 61) during the Vietnam War for 3 1/2 years. Give a hug for me.
Sally, What a beautiful video. I can't even imagine all the sacrifices that have been made for us by those that have served and continue to but I am thankful that your son is home, safe and sound.
Carole: I've enjoyed the time with both my kids....and can't fathom what it must be like to lose a loved one in a war.
George: I hug you too my friend :)
Barb: Good for you!
Lil Bro: A hug for you :)
Thanks Greg!
Gary: Sure thing....
Thanks Irene...all who have children and family who have served or lost their lives are proud.
Donna: Thanks to your son...and a hug to you from this away....for all you have endured as a mom.
Al/Peggy: thanks...everytime this time and vet's day rolls around...I am thankful my 'baby' is home and yet grateful to all those who served our country well.
Sally - What a beautiful tribute. And a huge thank you to your son and all the men and women who have fought, are still fighting and will fight in the future so that we can all be safe and comfortable. May God bless them all.
God Bless them all. I am so happy for you that your son is home. Nothing better than a mother and son's love.
Sally- Tell your son thank you from us for serving our country in the most sacrificial way. Our young men and women who serve- to them all- thank you and may God bless you all.
