I love Open Houses...since Jenny is doing our Makakilo listing Open I'm going to help out Randy and do his ..... it's 12:15pm so wanted to show you this spectacular flower!
So....You all have a wonderful Sunday!
Ooooooo.......I love that one! What is it?
Ann: A type of Hawaiian flower.
Thanks for the flower inspiration. My daughter-in-law has Hawaiian heritage and her 3 little daughters seemed to have picked those beautiful genes. Thanks!
Woo Hoo, That is some photo of the Ginger. It is one of my favorite plants. I have only the silk replicas here in Family room.
Aloha Sally, is this a Lobster Claw Heliconia?
Sally, that is just gorgeous! Oh oh, thank you for the picture. You have the most amazing flowers there.
I lived on Oahu a year, and still feel nostalgic when I see pictures like that...beautiful!!
Aloha Sally,
These are so amazing to me, they don't even look real.
Sally, What a sight, it keep going on and on as I scrolled down. Please post it when all the Buds open (which look to be any minute now). I wonder how it smells........
Sally,
What wonderful vibrant colors! Thanks for sharing. Hope you had a great weekend.
Hi Sally
You have one great photo; I can se it framed in a family room
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Sally, that is absolutely breathtaking! The colors are just amazing, so bold ... yet the flower looks fragile. I'd love to see it in full open bloom.
Sally - so ironic. We have a photo very much like this as a screen saver on Kay's laptop, a reminder of our wonderulf trip to your lovely island (and, of course out visit with you!!).
Jeff
Sally- AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! What gorgeous color your camera takes but of course a lot of that has to do with the vibrant colors of Hawaii Nature. :) Please, never stop taking your amazing photos. They make my day.
Wow! That flower is so colorful! I love the bright colors!
Just so you all know.....Leolinda helped me with the name of it...Lobster Claw Heliconia...which is a type of Hawaiian Ginger. :) :)
Kent: That's nice! Maybe these colors brightened your day too?
William! I love your replica's William! You have a whole shabang full of color!
Leolinda: Thanks for helping me identify. I had no idea what they were.... I thought just some kind of ginger...and when you said heliconia I had no clue what that was either! thanks again and nice talking to you!
Thanks all for stopping by...and Jeff....I hope you and Kay come back again...the last trip was sooo short and we only had those couple of hours.
Sally,
Are you the only agent from Hawaii on AR?
No Greg.....I know Randy got busy and is on Facebook and stuff....and there are others from other islands..... I guess I'm just entertaining enough for you to visit me LOL>
Sally, This is a rare find in Hawaii and normally is found deep in the mountains. I can just imagine what you went through to get the picture and I appreciate seeing it again. Your pictures truly depict the beauty of the flower. Good talking with you too!
That is beautiful. And the silk flowers that William posted are gorgeous too!
Hello Sally,
Wow, what a colorful flower! Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
Rita
Sally, Neat photo! Looks like a type of succulent...

That is simply one of the coolest photos I have seen in a long time!
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
I am still on vacation at Hilton Head Island. I had a few minutes with my cofee to stop by and say hello. Have a great week.
Sally that is beautiful, I don't think that I have seen one like that before. What is the name of it?
George: Spoke with Leolinda yesterday.... Lobster Claw Heliconia ...and a type of Hawaiian Ginger.
Is that the bird of paradise?...we have a similar one too.

... we dont see those in New Jersey !
OK, I actually have to come see one of these!
Sally,
This is a very pretty flower and a very hearty one. Looks like it enjoys where it is growing. :)
Steve
Steve: In Waimea Valley...lush woodsy area in the valley ...moist....waterfalls not far away....river too. :)
Pat: Okay...I know you're coming soon!
Sheldon: Come on down!
Neal: Hawaiian Ginger...Heleconia
Sally, I would be there in a NY minute if I could. I have been to Hawaii 3 times and if I had the opportunity I could live in your paradise. Your Hawaiian Ginger...Heleconia is absolutely gorgeous. I brought home the Hawaiian Ginger fragrance, my favorite. Is it derived from this particular plant?
Nice! I am heading to Ke Nui Road, Haleiwa within two weeks and I am soooooooooooooo excited :)
Great photo- we just left there and I am missing it terribly!
