Century 21 Liberty Homes is close to the Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Air Field. We see many soldiers come and go and come back again.
This time it was my son in law's turn. I had lunch with him before he had to start processing for deployment. He left last night from Hickam AFB.
I remember the day when the war with Iraq was announced. It was March 19th, my son's birthday and he was on the USS Kitty Hawk in the Persian Gulf. I had no clue until they announced it on TV.
I've watched family and friends and clients come and go.
This time it's my son in law and I'm proud of him and all the others who protect and serve our country.
He'll be back.

Hi Sally - What a handsome young man! And he's got a pretty nice mother-in-law too! My prayers go with him, and I'm sure he will have the prayers of all of your AR friends with him until he comes home to his family.
Sally - I am so thankful for young men like your son-in-law and son who serve this country proudly. Eight years ago today my son left for basic training to Fort Benning GA. Little did I know that two weeks later the events of 9-11 would change our lives forever. My prayers are with you and your family during his deployment.
Hi Sally... We all owe a debt of gratitude to men like your son in law and their families who sacrifice so much for all of us. Please extend my appreciation to him.
Sally--We are so fortunate that so many brave young men and women serve our country. Your son-in-law looks like a fine young man and I hope he will return home to your family safely! Your family must be very proud! :)
Sally - First of all, thank him for his service and I pray for his and all of the service member's safe return. I've been through this with my husband after Desert Storm/Shield, then with my son-in-law with his Marine reserve unit and I'm sure I'll see my other son-in-law leaving sometime during his young career as an Air Force member. It is never easy to see them leave, but so much sweeter when they return safe and sound :)
I can never say enough about those that put themselves in harm's way to protect and serve our country. He will be in my thoughts for a safe return Sally.
Sally, what a hard time for your daughter, for all of you. I loved the end of your post, "he'll be back" and yes he will.
Stay strong, and a big hug to your daughter. With all the struggles that it took her to get to this point, she will sure need her strong mom.
Hi Sally,
I think I stepped foot on the Kitty Hawk in Mayport Florida once. I was stationed on the USS John Hancock DD-981. 1992-1996
Sally-our thoughts and prayers will be with your son-in-law and the family. Our military is a wonderful and courageous group of men and women to whom we owe the depth of our gratitude.
May God bless and keep him safe.
Woo Hoo, Tell for all of us that he carries all of our special messages for his continued well being while there and for his safe return home. And may the time between now and then be short.
Sally- He is in my prayers and so is your lovely daughter. What a brave and handsome young man. I feel like you are all part of my family so my heart is torn that he is leaving his new bride but so honored that he would serve and protect our freedom. We are so blessed to have these awesome young men and women so willingly serve our country in amazing ways. Thank you! Tell him Thank You and give him a big hug from me.
Sally you have every right to be proud of him. I will be looking forward to reading a blog from you stating that he has returned back home safely.
Sally, my prayers will be with your son-in-law, your daughter and your family. Yes, he will be back!
Sally - I will keep this brave man in my heart and pray for his safe return home.
Thank you all for stopping by.....was just on Facebook (his sister let me know first) and he was in Germany earlier....and then continuuing on.....
Sally, I want to say what a brave and good young man your son in law is. He, your daughter and all your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I want him to know how much his service to our country is appreciated. More than words typed here can ever say. God Bless. We look forward to hearing of the celebration of his homecoming.

Hi Sally, I know it's hard for your family to see him leave. I hope the time goes by quickly and you will have him back home soon.
Thanks to your family who serves our country so honorably in times of turmoil Sally! I will keep him (and your entire family) in my thoughts and prayers.
I thank your son in law and the many other young men who are overseas doing the jobs that protect our way of life. My thoughts and prayers are with him and your whole family.
Sally--I will keep your son-in-law in my thoughts and prayers. I don't think we could be overloaded with concern for our military men & women. For too many Americans it is the exact opposite we barely give the wars or those serving a second thought. Thanks for this reminder.
