Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu is best known for their Winter Surf Contest "Quicksilver Big Wave Invitational in memory of Eddie Aikau and you can read more in A Haiku & The Big Jumping Rock at Waimea Bay- North Shore of Oahu .
Kaena Point can be reached on the North Shore of Oahu past Mokuleia Beach or from the West Side of Oahu past Yokohama Bay. It is not accessible by care and there is a hiking trail around the edge. What gorgeous photos! I love Hawaii and hope to get there in the next little bit. Oahu is an amazing island.
Sally, it has been too long since I have visited Hawaii. I am really looking forward to coming out and bringing my children for the first time in their lives to show them the beauty of the islands. I took them to Disneyland this summer and the Enchanted Tiki Room was my 4 year old's favorite. He couldn't get enough pineapple juice :)
