No matter where we travel in this country there will politics. We vote for those we believe will do good for our country, our state, our county, the real estate industry, right in the office and even in the confines of our home between family members.
We are a competitive class called humans.
So how do we know who to choose? We really don't ‘know' them (I mean REALLY know them) and rely on hearsay and what we've seen in tv ads, blogs or in the newspaper. Those that ‘heard' something ten years ago still hold it against them and don't believe anyone could really change. Yet others decide due to their color, race, religious views and so forth is the reason they would not choose 'that person'.
I have always believed that religious views and politics don't mix with the real estate industry; or for that matter in business...period. And I also believe when you mix the two it can be lethal for all involved in the debate, the work center and even between family and friends.
Someone told me once that when someone wants to discuss religion or politics they want to discuss THEIR views. They usually turn heated and in the end someone has ill feelings toward another.
All I can say is may the best person win....
And no matter who wins we wish them well.
It's called being a good ‘sport' with support.

As in sports, business and politics...
In the end....after a win......who's really your friend?
Sally,
I've always believed the worst of people are those who only practice their beliefs for only an hour or two on their sabbath.I can't separate politics and personal beliefs! This is separate from any group dogma!
Bill
PS: The best man rarely runs.
Bill...I suppose you're right on that first note. I know what you mean....I was so confused and also not feeling good about this whole thing....nationwide. I've never seen so many disgruntled...negative...closed minded people in my whole life...during one period ...geez.
Hello Sally and Vegas Bob is a very anti-political person because I think they are all crooks, reason being is that around 65% of politician's are Lawyers and I think most Lawyers are crooks. Sorry for the negative comment but it's just my opinion ...
VB ;~)
Sally.. I wish it was all to easy.... I try to stay out of politics and definitely religion in posts and normal conversations... ps.. I loved Bill's last comment..."the best man rarely runs" I saw a few good ones come out of this last election... but I agree with him..
Bob and Jeff: I'm just glad this part is all over...until they start the next round :)
I'm not a political person, but I do like to stir the pot a little. Sometimes there is nothing better than bringing up a political topic at a large family dinner and then sit back and watch the dinner rolls fly!
Simon...if anything .. my family and I agree on most... but a different story elsewhere. :)
Sally - all I can say is that I am so glad the negative tv ads are over and we can get on with life!
