My Extended "Real Estate Family"

Let me tell you a little bit about my family. They are the most supportive people and the best support system an agent could ever want. They became my Extended Real Estate Family when they saw the level of passion I had in working with clients.

They commended me for going above and beyond and my clients followed suit.

A three time client (bought two and selling one now) told me the other day that I have always gone above and beyond. Yup...and I drag (willingly of course) my family right into each and every transation.  My husband helps me load the car with staging material as well as helps me put up the signs and so forth.

My mom comes to my Open Houses and if someone walks in she pretends she's an attendee. Most recently she is contributing ..... plants for my client's patio for this Sunday's Open House.  I went up to her house and took the opportunity to click a few shots of her gorgeous Bird of Paradise. She has quite a few adorning her valley.

This Bird of Paradise below....she had my brother dig up for my client's patio.

We'll go pick up that Bird of Paradise and  few of these Bromeliads that adorn my mom's valley!

My mom is proud of her plants...and she's had a green thumb for most of her 83 years of life. She loves when I ask her for 'help' and is proud to support me...and my clients.

I love my mom.

I love my family.

I love my mom too, and I love post where someone shows gratitude for the support their family gives.  Good for you, good for your mom.

Hi Sally-

How great that your mom is able to share both her love of gardening (my mom's a gardener, too) and help you out in your day.  It's true that a Mom's work is never done, but what we do for our children is never really work!

It's great that you have the family involved.  It really takes an oll out effort to get homes sold and I'm sure that your husband (mine is my priceless business partner), is worth his weight in gold to you.

My heart always goes out to those agents without support as I can only imagine how hard they must be working to serve their client's needs.  We are indeed blessed with the partnerships that we have!

I hope that you and yours have a wonderful week!

Sally - that's wonderful how supportive your family is in your real estate endeavors. I love how your mom goes to your open houses and acts like an attendee.

I am blessed with a supportive husband -- he's stopped by my open houses and he's helped me put up signs.  I love how he calls to "check in" to see how I am doing when I am sitting open houses.

It's wonderful having family members love us enough to support us in our endeavors! I feel truly blessed! :)

Sally, I can tell how much you love your family - not just from this post but from those I've read over the last few years.  I'm glad you have family help with your open houses.  My husband is my open house "sign man" too, when he is available.  That is a huge help.

You are blessed!

I've never taught pre-licensing and never will, but I've taught Board Orientation, the one thing I always taught was:

"The key to success in real estate sale is a supportive spouse and family."

Can not say I ever mentioned Mother.

Sally, I really like that your mom and family are involved with your business.  It is the best and made me smile a lot when you said she will pretend to be an attendee at your opens.  She sounds like a character to me and reminds me of my own mother when she was still here with us.  She has been gone some 15 years and I think of her each and every day and find myself thinking I can just call and ask her a question, she will always be with me just as your mom is with you. Mothers are to be treasured and I know you do.  How beautiful. Thank you for a beautiful post.

You're so right, Sally--real estate is a family business. My daughter and granddaughter help with mailings, open houses and errands; my husband helps with tech stuff and putting signs up and down for my open houses; my mom used to ride with me on tour, taking notes about the houses & neighborhoods--and by being with me gained access to the commute freeway lanes! I couldn't do what I do without them.

Amazing Mom, Sally.  That truly is being supportive.  Love how she goes to your open houses.  An open house shill - what a great idea!
