I've been on pins and needles awaiting my first grandchild. My whole waking hours at this time consist of work and anticipation of my first grandchild bursting out into the world and my daughter as a first time mother craddling her son for the first time.
His name is....Brayden
These are the instances that make us human in this vast world of blogging. We show a bit of transparency through this network called ActiveRain....and we become the "people...behind the words".
This is my world right now.....
Keep in mind that my daughter Dori is a petite 4'10"' of a 29 year old woman and usually 90 pounds....she's done very well during her pregnancy but about toppling over with 2 weeks left to go!

Dori is absolutely gorgeous. Pregnancy suits her so much, she really is glowing. I bet she is so ready., I just came from Liz Wallace's blog and she was posting about a new baby.. I think it must be a new grandson.. :)

I am overjoyed at your gift of a grandchild. We just had a great niece born last week... I am still a few years away from grands. Totally jealous. Can't wait to see the first photo you post of you holding that new grandson.

Celeste, I share your anticipation - as I am also expecting a new grandchild sometime within the next few weeks. THough its by far not my first, it is a first for my daughter, the expectant mother. Soooo exciting and from expereince I can tell you there's nothing like it! Hope everything goes well for both mother and baby. I'll save my congrats for after the birth when you post more news and photos.
You are so fortunate to have your daughter nearby - where you'll really get to "play grandma." Braydon will no doubt grow up being your side-kick.
You do have my sympathies. While the rest of us are saying "this week went too fast" I know you're watching time crawl until the big day. Funny how that works.

Sally, Dori is absolutely beautiful just like her mom. There is nothing in this world like becoming a grandmother. You will relive that same unconditional love you experienced with her and then...walk away when you need to. Somehow I feel Brayden is not going to "want" for anything! Hugs granny! Celebrate!

I have four grandchildren. Unfortunately, they all live out of state. But one is coming to visit in about 5 weeks. So excited.
