Holiday Aloha from the Waipio Gentry Community!

What's happening in Waipio Gentry for the Christmas Holidays?   An event and a message. Well, for one thing, with the Christmas Holidays approaching there is the Annual Christmas Parade sponsored by the Waipio Gentry Community Association and the Lion's Club. Starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 8, 2007 so plan on being there! The Parade includes young people, businesses and our Waipio Gentry residents that are representing the core of our Community.

The Aloha. The Spirit. The Heart.

Our children are surely oblivious with their innocence and for them the Holiday's are filled with toys, games and their school breaks. It may not be the same for the less fortunate such as the homeless, tragedies that left loved ones lonely and alone, the families of our deployed military personnel. Keep in mind that the real message of Christmas is Good Will.

With all the prejudice, crime and hate in our world you and I can make a difference. Chill out! Relax and smile at a stranger. Smile at your neighbor. Get involved with your community and remember, there is always someone else in the world that has it worse off than we do.

Mele Kalikimaka and a Hauoli Makahiki Hou!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sally, I don't think that I have ever heard of a Christmas Parade around here, but it looks like a fun idea.

Sally-What a wonderful post with such a very clear message.  I love your comment, Relax and smile at a stranger. Smile at your neighbor. Get involved with your community and remember, there is always someone else in the world that has it worse off than we do.

How simple to just smile and say Hello.  What a true difference that can make in ones life.
