Hawaii Real Estate | Hawaii Relocations | Hawaii Home Buying & Selling

After reading MANY of the entries I KNOW I need to implement more into my Business Plan AND My Personal LIFE plan as well!  The first thing I am going to implement into my Business Plan is to send out Holiday from Hawaii Cards. I know I won’t be able to send out to everyone but I am going to make it a goal to send out to past and present clients.

For my personal ME time I have already bought my ticket to North Carolina for January. I plan to help with my grandson and step granddaughter while my daughter gets their unoccupied for a year house ready.  My son in law will have served his year in Afghanistan with the US Marines working under the General….and he is coming home!

On the flip side, I spent the last year spending as much time as I could with my daughter and grandson. I knew the time would go quickly and it may be a long time until I see them again.

The Active Rain November Contest, Pre Winter/Holiday Plans for Business and You turned out to be one of the best contests I have held and it would NOT have been possible without the Panel of Judges I picked.  Jeff Dowler, Head Judge, Lenn Harley,  Contest Judge, Debe Maxwell, Contest Judge, Bill Spear, Contest Judge and Tammy Lankford, Contest Judge. THEY WORKED HARD for this double entry contest and I applaud each and every one of them!

I admire all those that entered the contest as they gave us a sneak peak into their business and personal lives. It took time, patience and some creativity to think about what they need to do for their businesses as well as personal time to have a BALANCED life.

TWO entries had to be written per entry (one in each category) had to be written…. and here’s what the judges came up with:

THE WINNERS for the Personal Plan!

First Place:  PrePlans Me and PrePlans Biz By Kathleen Daniels

Second Place:  PrePlanning for Business and Preplanning for personal By Lottie Kendall

THE WINNERS for the Business Plan!

First Place:  Pre-Holiday Biz and PreHoliday Personal By Gail Robinson

Second Place:  Biz Preplans and Personal Preplans By Nina Hollander

Congratulations to all who entered…you all had wonderful entries and there are many other members who were able to grasp a couple of those ideas to implement it into their business plan. Others may have realized just how much they need a personal plan…just to have a balanced life.   Mahalo, Sally

Congratulations to the winners.  And to others... I got SO many great business tips in these posts.  I am so glad I read them ALL, TWICE, because I jotted down some really good notes for my own business plan this year.

Not only should you read the winning entries you should really read as many of the posts as you can.  There are some great ideas in those posts.

Again, congratulations to all for their entries and to the winners.  There were some really great posts.  And what a wonderful group of judges to work with on this.

Always a good reminder of why being organized and taking some free time away are both important.

I love your goals and am sorry I didn't enter this contest. I really need to focus a bit on planning. No time like the present.

Happy Holidays!

Sally,  Triple Wow is all I can say right now. I literally gasped when I saw my name as the first place winner for the personal plan.  This truly was an amazing contest. It helps to think about these things, and write them down in order to put them into action.

I know how much time, effort, energy, dedication and heart goes into judging these contests.  No one really knows unless they host a challenge or judge one. I applaud you and all of the amazing judges for your dedication to this challenge.

Thank you all so very much.  I am deeply touched.

Congratulations to Lottie, Gail and Nina.

This was a tremendous contest with some amazing learning, especially for strategies to add to our own business plans.

Thanks to everyone who participated...all 86 of you!! I know how much work these types of posts are and everyone did such a great job. It was so nice to see so many new participants, too.

Thanks also to the other judges who made this all work - it was a tough contest to judge with some difficult choices.

Thank you to all who entered and for those who supported the entries by reading and commenting. This contest was by far the hardest contest I've had ...to judge. Many entries to read, reread and sort into categories. I was amazed at the creativity for both biz plans and personal plans. One thing is for certain...we ALL learn from each other and everyone had different ideas to implement into their own to make for a balanced life. One without the other makes for imbalance. It's always good to take a step back and revamp for the new year. Happy Holidays to all and thanks again...to the Judges...for without the. This contest would not happen...Sally

Sally, Oh no, now I'm going to have to actually do these things I planned!!!  (Just kidding, I do these things every year.)

I read the other winning entries and got some new ideas to implement.  In fact, I feel like changing my personal plans completely after reading the winning entries.  I'm trying to do too much.

Thank you for sponsoring a great contest and thank you to all the judges who read all these entries.  It's not easy taking the time out to do do that at this time of year.
