It was the day after I married Gary and the evening of January 19, 2002 that we went on our adventure.
My daughter wanted to give us something special for our Wedding Present and she bought us a dinner and show cruise aboard the Star of Honolulu.
The Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise started boarding at 5pm and away we cruised out into the open sea by 5:30pm! Ah, a beautiful cruise it was and with an astounding sunset with Diamond Head and Waikiki as our star attraction.
With entertainment, shows, a wonderful dinner and finally a dance with Gary it has surely been a wonderful gift to remember. (he didn't step on my toes...hahaha!)
You think it's time to go again?
The Star of Honolulu is berthed right across the way from the Falls of Clyde- Pier 7 - Honolulu Harbor and next to Hooters at Aloha Tower Marketplace at Pier 8 and its total capacity is 1,500 passengers with four decks. More details...HERE

Sally,
Go for it...when the opportunity presents itself, take it!!! Thanks, Fran
Hi Sally,
That sounds really nice right about now.... go for it! :)
Sally,
It sounds very romantic....what a thoughtful and wonderful gift for your daughter to give to you and Gary.
I love dinner cruises and have only been on less than a handful in my life. There used to be one that ran out of our harbour here too however they stopped business a number of years ago.
Jo
Sally Jo, that sounds like a BLAST. What a wonderful gift, and now you must do it again!
Yes, I think you should seize the opportunity. Sounds like a fun and romantic evening to me.
Sally yes it sounds like it is time to go on another one.
Now that we know that Gary did not step on your toes, the question that we all want to know is did you step on his .......... LOL
Go again...Sally-there is something to be said for a little romance and on the love boat no less! :) I love boats..any trip on any boat to me is very romantic. Now that is a nice selection of dinner cruises. I only know of one here.
Hey Jo! Have you seen all those entries :) :) Okay...back to the subject lol....yup...I think it may be warm enough out there to go on another cruise. Cool. I mean...romantic :)
Auntie: Okay...okay...gotta do it again....flip video...here we come! Muaaaahaaahaaa.
George: Shhhhh... I was pretty much hanging on to him....... so I wouldn't ...hahaha! And when I took that picture I thought....hmmm....gotta go again. :)
Hi Sally,
You do such a great job on everything Hawaii!
Four years ago I took my kids and grandkids to Hi for a family vacation. We did the whale watching cruise, it was one of the very best days we had together. The weather, food, entertainment was absolutely spectacular and we even saw whales that day! It couldn't have been better. Thanks for the nice reminder.
And yes, it's time for you two to go again!
This is great info! Thank you Sally! The six and a half year anniversary calls for an all week cruise. I hope you celebrate it that way and then blog about it on TravelingRainers.
I knew you'd like my idea.
Joan: Oh, how I wish we could all go on a dinner cruise...enjoy each others company and watch whales and dolphins....wooHoo!!!!!
Jen: You're too cute...we're still on our honeymoon....stay at home all the time <wink> lol!
Lynda: Yup....I think we need to go again :) I think the kids will come this time...a family thing sounds like something I would like to do with the whole family...whale watching :)
Mirela: Yes it does.....and yes...I kinda like this place :)
Aloha Sally,
It's important to get off island and get the perspective of Oahu from the ocean, it gives you a better sense of place. Thanks for sharing.
peace,
Morning Sally,
Thanks for sharing. What was Gary thinking when you two danced.....can't believe he wouldn't step on your toes, well, at least once. LOL
Your daughter's gift was very thoughtful.
Have a great day!
What a neat thing to do - bet you had a fabulous time. I can appreciate the pleasures of such a trip, but boats and I on the water are not a good mix. :)
Jeff
Randy: Poor wifey. I wonder how I would handle it now....lol!
Kimo: Okay....so I better get on the Superferry and travel to the other island. I think that would be cool....the airline situation is bleak...and for some reason I don't like flying now.
Hal: He didn't step on my feet because he didn't move either lol! We held each other and moved our butts a bit...that's it lol!
Bill: We don't do much...seems we've turned into "loving home life"...which is fine with me....but I think maybe once in a few years we can do something. This weekend we're going sightseeing... picture time!
Brian: After reading all your stories...I don't doubt you are the romantic gentleman.... I kind of wondered after the blooper video lol!
Diane: Ah...what a beautiful view...we have to go again.
Lil Bro: It was....and will be the next time we go!
Neal: Sure was!
Virginia...It has remained in memory enough for me to remember now...it was great!
Teri: Sure is!
