The Kite Surfers - Mokuleia Beach on the North Shore of Oahu

Mokuleia Beach on the North Shore of Oahu is quite the popular place for kite surfing and also laying on the beach, snorkeling. For picking up shells that lay on the fine grains of sand..........

Graceful kites floating; bouncing across the sky

Back and forth; boards gliding across waves

The wind guiding the course of hungry wave riders.

Cloudy skies do not deter their movements to get to the ultimate destination

The end of the wave; Yet....the wind to picks up once more to guide them to the next wave.

Moving hips and legs with proportionate motion in the direction of the ride

Until there is no more...........until the next one.

Enjoy the show of the kite surfers at Mokuleia Beach on April 12, 2008

For you William Johnson...listen with me :)

Mokuleia is located on the North Shore of Oahu and just a mile or so to the infamous Kaena Point. The part of the island you have to hike around to meet on the Yokohama Bay side of Northwest Oahu.

The current market stats for Mokuleia vary so I'll give a brief summary for the last six months:

There are currently 6 Active Single Family homes (1-5 bdrms) in prices ranging from $950,000 to $3,980,000. There is 1 - 4 bdrm/2 ba single family home in contract that is listed at $3,999,000 and one 2 bdrm home sold at $1,250,000.

I truly loved this. The musical sounds and the movement were all beautiful and evident. But underlying it was an expression of sharing friendship and a feeling that can and did touch the soul. I sometimes wonder if the lessons in life are not at all about the experience itself but the imprint effect the experience has on the soul. A man can become wealthy but may never know or enjoy the value of his soul. A man could be friends and lovers to many and still never know the essence of love. My soul has experienced both and I am deeply touched. Thank you for the wonderful gift!

Aloha Sally,

Another beautiful HI post. I hope the chamber of commerce is paying you big bucks for these. BTW, I love the shrimp trucks on the north shore, that was the best meal we had while on Oahu. Aloha!

Sally that looks like fun even for an old guy like me.  I don't think I have seen kite surfing around here, but I guess I would have to go to the beach first to know for sure :) :)

Lynda: That's for sure! The only thing is the garlic is strong!

George: I'll look, take pictures and then hop back in the car...lol! It was a cloudy voggy day so it was kind of cool.

Carole: You're so slim you'd fly away with the kite! hahaha.

Sally, that was beautiful to watch. Did you upload to welcomemat from your flip?

Katerina: The stills enhanced the video. It wasn't a nice sunny day but it captured the moments.

Thesa: Glad to see you around again more!

Missy: After messing around with it....adding the still pics and music and clipping out some....with Adobe Premier Elements program then I uploaded to Wellcomemat. I think for scenes as this I'll use my Sony next time. The Flip is only good for close interviews IMO.
