I finally got off my tush and put together a new Hawaii Home Buyer and Hawaii Home Seller Brochure. What's great about blogging with our own personalities in the words we write is that we can use a lot of our posts for packets for buyers and sellers, relocation packets and marketing material.
Hawaii Open Houses ARE the Sunday Event here and there is always activity at our Open Houses...enough so the brochures I made last Sunday are gone.

After printing them out on HP flyer/brochure paper I looked it over. They were better than my former brochures because the words were.....ME.
Blogging has become the #1 resource for us to give information to the consumer. So in retrospect when I create and print my marketing material it seemed that to use the blogging material I have written over the past year was the only way to go.

I actually used the Buyer Tips and Seller Tips from one of my ActiveRain posts titled No Bursting Bubble For Hawaii? Home Buying & Selling Tips for the content of my brochures and like I said before...it gives information in MY words written like how I talk.
I wrote a post yesterday Blog Header Help: I Need a Slogan! (UPDATE!) and out of all the wonderful suggestions.... I am using Missy Caulk Ann Arbor Real Estate's suggestion for a slogan in my brochures which is above my picture and reads, "Selling Hawaii, one piece of Paradise at a time".
WooHoo!!!!

Sally,
Great idea...I never have any luck printing out my posts!!! They never print WYSIWYG!!! Thanks, Fran
Hi Sally
Your new slogan sounds great! I also like the idea of using brochure's to promote your blog. :)
Thanks Brian! Sometimes I just have to revise and fine tune stuff until I get it right, :)
BB: Your ghost writer is self centered lol
Missy: I took the picture of the brochure before I stuck the slogan in...but just to let you know...the 15 I printed this am had that slogan in it ....don't ya love that first cup of coffee?
Dave: Sure don't ...and so the reason we connect with certain types of people...thanks!
Fran: Switch to HtML! LOL!
Suzanne: Thanks a bunch!
Carole: A brochure would definitely be somethng soooo useful for your biz. Highight 'about fs' and give a couple of pointers...I would love it!
Nice looking flyer!
We've used the brochure format for a few of our flyers. They help you stand out from the crowd. We use blog posts for our marketing materials and create the layouts using Microsoft Publisher or Photoshop.
The final step that we took was to purchase a great color laser printer so that we can print our custom materials from our office. We've been using a Xerox 8500 that uses a very cool solid ink technology.
Nice brochure, Woo-Hoo. And I love the new slogan!!!!
Sally, good for you. I've been meaning to get my flyers updated. Now, I'll have to get to it. LOL. Thanks for the push.
Thanks Barbara!
Geoff: We have a huge Color Lanier at our office. I use my Canon at home for colors...and laser for docs.
Thanks George! So....what do you want? I know with all the compliments you give me....you're going to hit me up for something ...hahahahahaha!
Thanks Kat! I love all!
Thanks Joan! I like doing the brochures...they won't throw it away like a piece of paper.
Bob: Woohoo to giving you a reminder!
Morning Sally,
Glad to hear that your new slogan is in place. That sure didn't take long! I like the brochure format for our flyers too.
Gary: Sure is...thanks for popping by Gary!
Harold: When I have a bunch of supportive suggestions...it will not take long! Great place to get feedback...don't ya think?
Pat: It's more helpful...and will last longer than a piece of paper with info :)
George: Okay...you get a big hug :) A real big hug!
Katerina: Thanks so musch.
Latonia: I don't think it's less expensive...but surely more personal :) Thanks! Good to see you!
Georgina: Print shop actually :) And I don't think so :)
Linda: Thanks! The pics on the front are from clients and their testimonials :)
Hi Sally,
I am looking to redo my brochures and am glad I came across your blog. I notice that you use Print Shop, but which one? There are several different versions.
WooHoo to your great looking brochures and new slogan name. I think I might have to reach out and ask my fellow ActiveRainers to help me with a slogan as well. I feel like everything I come up with is cheesy or doesn't have enough power behind it. My slogan has just been..."putting your needs first"
