Nothing is EVER Perfect

Nothing is ever perfect is it? I walked outside on Wednesday to hop in my car and drive to the swap meet. (Yes, more orchid plants for $5 each) I sat in the drivers seat and reached over to close the door but something got in the way.

 A picture perfect cloudless sky.

Too lazy to get out of the car to get a picture perfect view for the snapshot, I sat right there and took the picture to find that the bark on the palm was peeling off.

As we always say in Real Estate, "There are no two transactions that are ever alike".  We cross bridges galore and take care of the bumps and grinds behind the scenes so our client's home purchase or sale will be less stress free. And then we say, "What a smooth transaction we had".

There are just things that we seem to get accustomed to or work through and try not o sweat the small stuff. We evern learn to not sweat the big stuff because it's usually things that we cannot control.

No matter what....we work through it and deal with it.

I looked at this picture for the last two days and realized that it is as good as it gets. It will depend on the mind frame, time and space I'm in for any situation to take it's course and for any result to happen in a positive or negative manner.

I'm choosing to look at this picture as a positive as I do with everything in life.

There are ALWAYS learning lessons.

It's not 'picture perfect' but it's good enough for me.

Why stay stuck when I can just move on?

Have a great weekend!

TGIF.....

It is gray here today so I thank you for the blue sky you have given me. I didn't even notice the tree issues.  I hope you have a great weekend Sally

We have puffy clouds with blue between.  Within in a few weeks you will have it all over us.

Paddy: Blue skies and giant surf on the North Shore.  You see? I'm like that. Too much attention to detail cannot be a good thing :)

Li: You're very welcome Li!

Bruce: All over you?  I take it to mean some cloudy skies are approaching?  We nearing a little rainy season ourselves.

Tim: You too Tim! What more can we do but just enjoy. Stress takes too much energy and a whole lotta time :)

I like the photo actually!!  I think its a good thing when things are not always perfect.  You are right about letting go of things that are out of our control because we can do much about those things anyway!

Sally - I think it is a "beautiful photo". And I have done the same thing by sitting in my car with my camera. And with respect to the bark peeling off, it could be a metaphor for the Palm getting rid of the old and un-necessary stuff,  evolving into something new and better.

Sally- Ahh only a detailed person would have noticed the bark and taken 2 days to "think" about it LOL :)   But as you said, nothing is perfect, and we take what we get and choose how we will use it.  And see, you found a use for that photo.........and added a great message to it.  That in turn makes it perfect :)

Striving for perfection is stressful...at some point it pays to move on to the next step and revisit the previous ones which then fall into place more readily...don't stay stuck!

Woo Hoo! Your amazing perspective reminds me that this morning ( like nearly every morning) when I get up my little one ( 2.5 lb Yorkshire) always does this little dance and then she stretches out her little body to me  and then her stubby little tail goes crazy and this makes me smile inside. I know that all is well and the day is starting out perfectly. I let her out and while there I saw 3 hummingbirds at my feeder this morning and it also makes me smile inside. There is this one hummingbird that ( I think it is the same one) that flutters over almost to my face and it is a sort of "Thank You for taking care of me" flutter. It makes me feel wonderful and it is the start of my perfect day. From then on, it is up to me to keep it a perfect rest of the day.

Hi Celeste

What we see comes what we are looking for. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Good luck and success

Patricia: I'm really not a perfectionist ...nor do I strive to be one. Detailed yes, acceptance of the minor flaws...yes. Can't fix something that isn't broke and fix what I can that is. Thanks...a great reminder to those that stress over the small stuff :)

Sharon: That's exactly what it is and you hit the nail on the head...therefore, the reason to post it and move on :)

Kathy: Yeah...that's me...think things through first. I kept wanting to use the picture but couldn't think just what I wanted to do with it. I did send it to a client who's coming in shortly...to show him the blue skies. :)

Sonja: Believe me....never a day where I will not get unstuck....even if it takes a good processing :)

William: That's what Shadow does! She stretches and her stub wags furiously. Then she noses us to death. :) Are they really "perfect"? Okay, in our minds there can be a perfect world according to William..to Sally etc. :)

Fran: Hmmm.. okay, sounds good to me :)

Lou: And so is success :)

Sally, We've had so much rain and grey skies I think that picture IS perfect!  You're absolutely right, it depends on your point of view.

Carole: Funny how we all use the word "perfect" to describe something so pretty huh? And...it sure depends on each individuals perception and point of view. Have a good weekend Carole!

HI SALLY!

I don't see anything wrong w/this picture!!  The first thing I thought was, wow, that sky is beautiful.  So, I do my best to see the glass half full.  Why, it's too depressing to see it any other way!

Have an awesome weekend!

Celeste,

Just beautiful!  I like the bark,...it gives the palm CHARACTER!  Otherwise it might have been mistaken for just another palm tree! ;0)

It's late and I'm sort of sleepy, and I read it as "swap meat" and wondered where on earth is this one going?
