Tropical Fall Months in Honolulu County Hawaii

Well, we sure don't have the fall leaves changing colors and we don't have snow or seasonal pictures standing out in a crowd displaying the distinct months of the year. What we do have in Honolulu County is a warm tropical climate with blue skies that take your breath away day after day throughout the year.

WooHoooo

During the month of November we still have the wonderful sunny skies with a little bit cooler temperature although it's still sun, fun, boating and surfing with the larger waves peaking on the North Shore of Oahu. In fact, the 2008 World Championship Tour with professional surfers and spectators worldwide have been enjoying the Surfing Championships along the North Shore since last Thursday.

For up to date news and video go to www.triplecrownofsurfing.com

Continue around the island of Oahu (Honolulu County) and you'll end up in Laie. Truly a sea and country town, Laie proves to have more than just scenery. Plenty of beaches, fishing, hiking, snorkeling and lots of outdoor activities as well as the 42 acre Polynesian Cultural Center .

Lush Foilage

Hiking along the mountainous terrain and deep valleys with lush green foilage we grab a piece of history that unfolds through every step we take. Preservation and Conservation land is highly respected here and many natural scenic views along with botanical gardens are seen everywhere. (Wahiawa Botanical Gardens Pictured above)

I myself make my own magic on my back porch with my orchid garden.

Floral delight abounds!

Even at 7am......

And awaiting the full bloom of my poinsettia's ....knowing our Hawaiian Style Christmas is right around the corner :)

Woo Hoo, Give me 12 months a year in perfect weather and sunshine. Love it and I am there with you on that one. I love snow, especially pictures of it, plenty good enough. I love the changing colors, we get that not that far from here. Otherwise, memories are a good substitute. Guess I am spoiled but I'll take the 12 months of perfect weather, everytime.

Sally your pictures made me think of packing up and moving to your beautiful island.  One of my favorite thing is to sit on the beach and listen to the waves go back and forth.

Funny-I just commented about the leaves changing color and how I miss them so. Then I read your post and felt grateful to be living in Paradise and having beautiful weather, giant palm trees, and the sound of the ocean to keep me company. Thanks!

Sally - great eye candy. One thing I always had a hard time getting used to was the Christmas season in Hawaii. Christmas songs, Christmas trees (ok, those Norfolk of whatever Island Pines), Christmas cheer juxtaposed with Aloha shirts, shorts, sandals and 85 degrees.

Sally - those are beautiful photos. I love the pointsettias. Like you, we don't have too many fall leaves where I am, however the sun is in a different place in the sky.

Sally, No wonder they call it Paradise!  We've had rain and cold for a complete week--today there is sun (and cold).  It's going to be one VERY long winter :(  Enjoy your paradise!

Lisa: I've been all over the states and have seen all the seasons many a time. I always came back home :)

Paddy: A wonderful array of scenery for sure :)

Neal: You'd be out there attempting to surf with the Brady's. :)

Sally, you make me want to head out with my camera and shoot a bunch of scenery.  It's cold and windy (for us) this weekend.  The sun is out today, maybe this afternoon I will get out and have some fun with the camera.  Your photos are beautiful!

Have a good week!

Mike: It's not been hard for me....I've lived here most of my life and after going around the world I still gravitate home. We have our Hawaiian Christmas songs....Mele Kalikimaka!

Sharon: All parts of the country are beautiful in their own way.

Carole: Believe me...I do.  I don't miss the cold and I don't miss severe hot either. It's....just right :)

Thanks for sharing that to us... I especially enjoyed the pictures since I love Hawaii.  Ever since my husband and I went there for our honeymoon two years ago, Hawaii become one of my favorite states... soooo beautiful!  I especially like Kaua'i... it reminds me so much of our province in the Philippines.  How is the RE market there?  Is it hard to get a RE license in Hawaii?  I don't mind living there in the future!

Sally - Many of your flowers and plants are similar to here in Florida! I love orchids - my mother had a lanai full of them as I was growing up!
