Our friend, Clinton "Clint" M.S. Goo, Managing Partner of Goko Restaurant Enterprises, LLC introduced us to the NEW and IMPROVED Sizzler when he and his partner bought the last four of the Sizzler Restaurants. After Sizzlers Restaurants changed over to the new owners my husband and I started going to Sizzler Restaurants once again. Their food tickled our taste buds with new menu items and a better quality of food.

With a nenewed outlook on the restaurant, Sizzler IS one of our favorite restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner. With a wide variety of menu items to choose from and a cordial smiling staff we always feel welcome from the time we set foot in the door.
We had mom's 80th birthday party at the Sizzler -Pearlridge location last year and it was a blast. With balloons and the staff singing 'Happy Birthday' my mom was proud that day!
They also have a nice party/conference room if you have a large party or conference. Call ahead to reserve!
We stopped by the Executive Offices of Goko Restaurant Enterprises, LLC on Saturday to visit Clinton Goo and then we headed out to the Sizzler Restaurant at the Pearlridge location to have breakfast.
Gary always orders the 'Big Breakfast'. Funny, he never can finish the dish because it has 2 pieces of Sweet Bread French Toast sprinkled with powdered sugar, 2 Giant Hotcakes, 3 eggs, 2 crispy pieces of bacon and 2 pieces of Portugese Sausage. YUM!
Needless to say we had brunch and didn't eat until dinner. You definitely won't walk out of this restaurant hungry!

One of Sizzler popular items on the menu is the Steak & Lobster Combo (left) and the Local Value Meal
Can't beat having an endless salad bar, drink and your choice of Teriaki Stak, Hibachi Chicken Breast or Shrimp Scampi!
Well, you get the picture. If you're in good company and the food is delicious and topped off with a wonderful atmosphere you definitely are in Sizzler Restaurant!

Sally, What a great Localism post! Who would have thunk that Sizzlers is back? I haven't seen a Sizzler in years. Glad to hear they made a come back so successfully! Love the picture of your Mom's 80th birthday party. What a blessing to still have her.
Thanks Elizabeth! I just got off the phone with Mr. Goo...he is so tickled and called this post "professional". Nice man, great businessman and wonderful food! They are a franchise and the four here are owned by Mr. Goo/partner :)
BTW: MOM had her 81st birthday two days ago on the 12th! WooHooo!
I havent seen a Sizzler in years... but I must say... That food looks YUMMY !
No Sizzlers around here but you sure make it sound appetizing. Nice localism post.
Hi Sally
Looks like great restaurant to enjoy a meal with your family. Restaurants like any business are all about local management.
Good luck and success
Lou Ludwig
james: believe me....it's wonderful!
Lauren: Thanks...and it is!
Lou: It has been for a few years now....and ...local businesses thrive on good management
I love me a big ol' yummy breakfast! We used to have Sizzler's around here, but it was so long ago. I can't believe it was the same chain, but maybe......I see Elizabeth recognized Sizzler too.
Sally the food looks good, and your mom looks like she is having a great time in the picture.
Sally, I have a Sizzler in the next town and haven't been there in SO long. I'm certainly going to go there and hope it's every bit as good as yours!
Well it is dinner hour, I had a danish for breakfast ( the food of champions- policemen and REALTORS, lol) no lunch and then hearing about having steak, a baked potato ( no (e) on that potato, don't even need a spell checker for that one) a salad bar and all the rest, it made me feel really hungry. I don't eat seafood so the lobster doesn't do it for me but a pretty good deal for those that do.
I haven't eaten at a Sizzlers in maybe 15 years but I think all that will change as soon as I can locate one. I would certainly try this again. Too late for tonight. So for tonight, it looks like I will have a big salad, boneless pork loin chop with sweet potato's, escalloped apples and french cut green beans. I don't customarily eat deserts but a piece of that Birthday cake for your Mom would be pretty tempting.
Ann: We've had Sizzler around for years....way back when I was a kid they didn't have a sald bar...it was tossed or cole slaw :) It's just a wonderful (great on the budget) place to eat.
George: It is...and that was last year...my mom just turned 81 two days ago!
Carole: Great! Let me know how the one by you is!
William: LOL that was pretty funny! Your dinner sounds wonderful! I actually made Gary dinner tonight...nope ...no micro lol. Steak, steamed broccoli/carrots/button mushrooms, rice and applesauce.
Now...dessert we have a choice...blue bunny no sugar ice cream with a load of hersheys on it lol...or golden oreos and soy milk.
Now...thinking about breakfast...we're bad. Weren't we just talking about getting in shape lol...I guess that means a round shape hhahaha.
It's nice to read a post like this. I've had the idea to do complimentary articles about local restaurants etc. that do a great job every time out - the time is never there to do them. I bet your article will now rank high on G for them and give them a boost in reputation. Well done!
Jeff: I've done many....it's great for local businesses. I hope so too....they need more internet presence :)
Sally looks like a great place. One thing I have discovered is that a big chain restaurant on an island can be so good the food is different from what is served on the mainland
No fair!!! Making me hungry so early in the morning! lol!!!
your friend in Charlottesville!
follow me on Twitter!
Morning Sally,
Great localism post. I have to say, "I am with Gary!" Even if I couldn't clean my plate, I would order that breakfast! Yum!!
Thanks Sally for sharing with us. Your mom looks like she is really enjoying herself.
Sally, it's always goodto know someone in the restaurant business. My brother is a wholesale broker with Sysco Foods so I am always up on new ad interesting local fare! Great Localism post!
Sally--I didn't know they still had Sizzler Restaurants around...Looks tasty!
Sally since Steak and Seafood are at the top of my list for food choices I am sure if I visited your beautiful island Sizzlers would be a place I would head to 1st!
Jennifer: So true! We have so many different local style food that turns out to be great sellers for the dining crowd here.
Charles: So.....what did you have for breakfast? LOL.
Hal: All you guys....eyes to big for their stomachs sometimes :)
Tina: She did...and she still does :)
Thanks Russell! He really enjoyed the post and forwarded it to others in the Sizzler chain. Nice when we in the local community all help each other out :)
Teri: I'm just glad they have a better menu now. It was really plain before and not the best quality of food. Now it's just sooo tasty!
Bill: I'm sure it would be too! So...when do you arrive?
Thanks for the idea.
Sizzler???
We used to have those....
Good post, and it will come in handy when the restaurant is "for sale".
Brian Madigan
I haven't been to a Sizzler in 22 years. I used to love it there. Where else can you get french toast and a steak?!
Thanks for the memories!
Hi Hally;
I used to love Sizzler steak and salad bar. I haven't been to a Sizzler in many years.
I haven't seen a Sizzler in years, but I'd sure come to the ones you talk about here! What a great job with this post...perfect!!!
What am I missing here. This is a Real Estate website & we are talking about a restaurant?
I'm confused
Ben: The idea to eat? LOL
Mike/Cindy: We still do! The improved ones :) :)
Brian: Not for sale for a looooong time :)
Donna: Darn right! And we know the menu!
Anthony: Time to see if it's changed....I know ours is geared for all types of food and I love the salad bar!
Mara: And what a great way to collaborate with our local businesses!
CONFUSED: Well, let's see...it's geared to go over to the Localism site as well...where we are collaborating with our local businesses. If you go to search here on ActiveRain and type in Localism maybe you'll gain more insight.
Sizzler? Really?
Been a long time since I have even heard of them.
Sis - Ugh, yet another reason to visit... as if I needed one. I've never been to one but have the feeling I'd absolutely love it. Send me a doggy bag... Please:)
Tom: Yes...really!
Hey lil bro: Nope..you have to come try it yourself :) :)
Thanks for the insight, I'll check it out next time when I go to Hawaii!!
You make Sizzler sound down right tempting...
Sally,
After reading your post I hope they reopen here in Maryland.
Rich
They could probably use some SEO consulting, too. Perhaps a side venture?
Sally: What a great way to feature this resturant in your area !
Sally, it looks as though Sizzler is back on the map! I have bookmarked your post as I think you really did a nice job of accenting the value of the new Sizzlers to consumers alike. Take care and happy blogging!
Looks good...haven't been to sizzler in years...don't even think they still have them here.
OK, when I come there next time we will go to Sizzler's. i want to try those Portuguese Sausage and the sweet bread.....terrible thing you did by posting this when it is only 4am my time, and I am hungry :) Yep, next time....we go to Sizzlers :)
the sizzler looks better there than here in montana where we raise beef. wonder whats up.
We have a Sizzler here and it used to be really good then not so much. I will have to see if it has improved one day soon. Have a good Friday.
Great information !! Keep up the good posting !
Robert J Russell, IRES
http://www.robertjrussell.com
Wow - This stuff looks good! Too bad they don't have a location in my town!!
DM
We don't have a sizzler here, but I have eaten at them in the past. Always worth a visit when we are on the road. Your post made me hungry now Sally. Dang, there goes my diet. And how convenient that my graphic word is "blueberry".
Sally - congrats on the feature, and the food looks excellent. One of my favorite meals in Hawaii is breakfast with rice and miso soup. Love it!
Chris - wouldnt you agree that being a Realtor, you are also expected to be the 'Local Expert' with information about schools, transportation, and yes, local stores and services that may be available to a potential buyer in a specific town? These local services include restaurants.
I am asked all the time by buyers that are not familiar with a town, is there a bus or train line nearby, how are the schools, and when we get closer to closing - do you know much about the restuarants in town? So at that point, if I could rattle off a list of different dining options to them, then I think I would have provided them a benefit - as a Realtor.
... I believe Sally is providing a little extra info for those interested in the Pearlridge area of Hawaii ! ... which to me is a nice little extra tidbit for people searching for info on that area.
Hi Sally ! I'm hungry !
Sally, great localism post. We don't have any Sizzlers here...we did in CA but I do think they all went out of business. It sounds like they are back and better than ever!
Peter: Great! Give me a buzz while you're here :)
Suzanne: Great...I was hoping :)
Richard: I hope they do too...for your sake :)
Jeff: Huh?
Roland: We know our local area and businesses :)
Thanks Jason! That's the gift of paying it forward isn't it? Not just in business but in life...we give from our hearts and throw some positive action out there....and who knows..it just might come back too :)
Neal: If you come visit I'll take you to lunch :)
Kathy: Yup....Sizzler it will be! I can just see us hanging out for AWHILE with that salad /food bar :)
Tom: Aloha spirit lol!
Paddy: They need some new folks like they did here....keeping in mind the quality is what matters. :)
Thanks Robert!
Dan: You'd love it....
Bob: Well, a blueberry smoothie sounds good :)
Sharon: Isn't rice a normal thing? lol. When we go there we have loaded baked potatoes :)
Sheldon: Oops.. You added to this..thanks. It's with open minded thinking that we leave the lines open to LISTENING to our clients needs. That includes going outside of the real estate box :)
Diane: Well, I do believe they need to get one going out where you are!
I had no idea that Sizzler was even around at all any more. We grew up on the place but then I remember the food quality taking a nose dive in the late 1980s. I hope that the re-introduction of the restaurant doesn't get tremendously hurt by the general economic conditions. Then again, family friendly and reasonably priced might just be what people need right now.
We don't have a Sizzler in our town, but there is one about 45 miles north. I used to love the fresh fruit and salad bar, I'll have to stop in next time I'm through Cedar City and check it out.
Chris: I agree...and when they popped back up here...I was elated. Especially when it was our friend. He certainly worked hard to get here and to think ...he's a Realtor® too. :)
Erika: Great! Let me know how yours is in your neighborhood!
Man I haven't heard of Sizzler in years. We used to have them around here in South Jersey. I'd be hesitant of getting lobster though :)
Sally I don't care what others say, I for one am interested to know that Sizzler is new and improved in Hawaii. I remember we were at the opening day at the first Sizzler that came to Maui, many many years ago. If they come back here, I'll go.
Sally -- I absolutely agree with you on the localism part, it's the global part of having it on AR that seems odd to me. I come to AR to learn about real estate, not local food, as that is what I view localism.com for, but I'm guessing there is not a way to only post to localism.com? If not, it seems like indexing local things on a global basis doesn't make sense. I don't post to localism.com that often, but I do agree with you that posting really interesting stuff is helpful.
So I guess my question is more for AR in general: Why does truly local stuff end up on a person's main AR blog? Seems like if it's truly local, it should only appear on localism.com, but that's just my simplistic view of things, I'm sure it makes sense to others.
Sally, Jeesh I'm hungry now! That looks fab. We are officially suppose to get an Olive Garden soon....I'm already salivating! Great pics and post.
Later in the rain~Deb
Steve: Why's that?
Georgina: Of course we know what it's all about though don't we?
Chris: Then if you ever have clients or friends who come on vacation or relocate to Honolulu then maybe you can refer them to a couple of nice places to dine. These posts give the consumer a view from my eyes. I came to AR to learn about everything. Blogging is giving a little bit of me while writing. I'm human...not just a business machine. I know my real estate, I know about my local area...and I know a bunch of other stuff too :)
Why don't you email AR with your questions...or learn more about what AR and Localism are about.....I mean...Localism IS from AR. I like it on my MAIN AR stuff...it transfers to my outside AR blog.
Anyway, besides your view on the way things should be...how'd you like the article? You commented on my Speechless Sunday picture. What did that have to do with anything but the scenery here?
Okay...enough...have a good night.
Deb: What..forgot how to sign in lol! I ate at an Olive Garden in Sacramento years ago. I ate something with a lot of garlic and it stayed with me for awhile lol. (funny I thought of that and it was back in the early 80's lol)
Sally, the bowl of Cheerios that I just ate - well, I'm craving steak and lobster after reading this post! Yum!
Sally - what a fantastic localism post! Makes me want to hop a jet and head over for dinner!
Pat: Cheerios is okay...if it's honey nut!
Barbara: Thanks...I know they appreciate it!
Sally- I'm back too. I think you and others did a good job of saying why we as Real Estate Agents would promote a local place, and on our blog as well. Transparency, Honesty, and Information to help clients, and even in your case tourists, is the name of the Blogging Game :)
Oh, and I want to have some of that Steak and Lobster with Pat :)
Sally, I've never been to a Sizzler, but it always reminds me of that pretty lame movie "White Men Can't Jump" -- "We're going to Sizzler. We're going to Sizzler!"
