Today is February 23, 2009: When I opened my front door this morning, this is the view that peeked through the rooftops and beckoned me to snap a shot. Funny how the little things in life can really make a difference in how your day will go. Ah.... the mind...the thinking and how one approaches each and every day.
I dare not let any moment of the day pass without acknowledging every little thing I am grateful for.
A rising sun on the east
Different colors and hues
A hint of the new day
Rising between colors of blue.
If there is anything in this life of mine that I am truly grateful for
Is waking every morning and living the day; and sleeping well at night.

Okay....so I started this in the morning...and wasn't able to finish until this evening....
But do you want to know how my day went? Wonderful!!!
Sally- How absolutely beautiful! Who could not see a miracle like this picture and not be totally uplifted all day!
With a start to the day greeting you with that sky - how could it be anything but a glorious day ahead !
Beautiful shot Sally !
Hi Sally...Hopefully your day was as beautiful as your sunrise.
Kate
Sally - Gorgeous shot! I think if I were in HI every day would start out great! It takes your great attitude to extend that great start! I bet you have lots of great photo opportunities there. Thanks for sharing!

Sally,
Thanks for sharing this with us! Life is a blessing!
Mike in Tucson
This is just beautiful. I was at the park with my two boys this evening enjoying the sunset on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.
Woo Hoo, You get that gorgeous sky in the morning and we get it in the evening. It usually means the next day will be bright and sunny. But then most of your days are as well as mine.
Sally,
I just came from Mike's Blog from Tucson...His sunset and your sunrise picture are tremendous bookends for a beautiful world in which we live, move, and have our being...!!! :) Thanks, Fran
Sally, That is an awe inspiring sunrise for sure. And your poem is absolutely precious.
Ginger
Well said, and great picture. Cheers.
Katerina: I loved this morning...it turned into a love all day :)
Thanks Sheldon...my neighbors must think I'm a little daft ....flash going off many a time :)
Oh..it was Kate!
Sally- Gorgeous! I'm jealous. I walked out to the grey of fog.
Jason: You better believe it...since I've 'matured' I think that I value what's around me more...therefore enjoy it more :)
Mike: It sure is!
Christine: How wonderful! I bet it was beautiful...take your camera next time and please share!
Hi William! Oh...you better believe it....gorgeous days and nights and everything in between. What do you think...because the person inside is enjoying life in all it's splendor? You bet!
Fran: I just saw his too....beautiful and gorgeous is our world :)
Thanks Ginger! I sure enjoy taking a picture and turning it into depth of feelings :)
Thanks Doug!
Debi: Oh...but I can take a fog and turn it beautiful as well ....so can you!
Sally -- an absolutely gorgeous photo! And a wonderfully poetic start to the day. Just fiishing mine - thank you.
Sally
You Know what? I am sick of this Wisconsin crap, and I am moving to Hawaii
Sincerely
Tom Braatz
I would love to have seen that view. All I saw was about a foot of snow in Nebraska.
Aloha Sally,
Spectacular photo.
Earlier today while heading to the mail box I enjoyed the sweet scent of orange blossoms from a nearby tree, it gave me a moment to pause and appreciate the experience. Yet you put it so beautifully...I dare not let any moment of the day pass without acknowledging every little thing I am grateful for.
Sally, Great pic. Sunrises and sunsets are oh so unique and colorful aren't they...

What a wonderful way to start the day.....I love waking to a beautiful sunrise ;)
Sally, I love savoring the little things. I experienced a beautiful sight the other day. The full moon was out and it wasn't yet dark. It was orange and I tried and tried to get a picture of it. My settings must have been off for the moon kept disappearing in my shots. I'll have to enjoy it for real and not be able to save it LOL.
Just beautiful Sally. I got to see your sunrise on Tuesday morning at the same time as my sun rise here on the east coast. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful picture. What a great way to start the day.
That picture makes me want to get back in bed and just sleep.
Beautiful sky! looks a lot like the sky ourside my home!
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!

Sally--I am often amazed by the color of the sky at sunrise and sunset. Really makes my day...Your photo captured it beautifully!
Sally, your pictures always brighten my day with its true to life color. I'll call you when I get back "home".
Now that certainly does look like a great view to start your morning.
Sally - Wow you must get up early huh? Beautiful shot. I need to post more of these as I have been collecting sunsets as well as sunrises that I have taken. Inspiring indeed.
Sis - The images from your area are astounding. I seriously need to vacation there someday. Good thing I know people;)
Sold! Find me a house I am on the way. What a great picture. A blessing for sure.
Sally it looks almost like someone set those clouds on fire.
Glad you took a picture of it, because there is no way I am going to get out of bed that early ............ LOL
That's beautiful! I'm always motivated by nature too. But beautiful skies are especially moving. They evoke deep emotions for me. It just reminds me of how vast the universe is, and how small we are in comparison. And then I think of how much God loves little ole me, in relation to all of that. =)
Hi Sally! Okay, my motivation for Monday or ANY day with that view, would be to park my hiney in the hammock and gaze into that gorgeous sky! WOW, that is just beautiful!
So pretty.....the simple gifts we get each day (if we will just notice them) are so wonderful.
Thanks for stopping by! When you folks wake up in the morning what are your first thoughts? Your first view of the morning? Does it set the 'mood' for your day?
Ah...the thinking :)
Sally, im glad to told me about this, because after reading this and a few others its no wonder why you like what you do so much. Your attitude on life is amazing and it motivates me to have the same outlook on things
